Working with the community

Melbourne is a port-city with urban communities next to the port’s operations and landside links.
 
Recognising these communities have amenity expectations, Port of Melbourne fosters a shared port-city vision with its neighbours. This includes ongoing consultation and grassroots partnerships with local councils and community groups.
 
A sponsorship program also gives community support for eligible events and organisations with a maritime, community or educational theme.
