Port of Melbourne recently completed the installation of new 150 ton bollards at Swanson Dock East and West.
This $8.5M project, with engineering services provided by AECOM and completed by lead contractor McConnell Dowell (MCD), is part of several initiatives to ensure Port of Melbourne continues to service larger vessels.
To enable growth in trade volumes and vessel sizes into the future, Port of Melbourne stands ready to accommodate vessels up to 337 metres in length at Swanson Dock International Container Terminals.
As larger container ships continue to cascade onto the Australian trade routes, Port of Melbourne continues to invest in key infrastructure to receive them.
