Port of Melbourne is pleased to be an active contributor to the Industry Stakeholder Reference Group of the Victorian Freight Plan refresh.

As Melbourne is projected to become Australia’s largest city by the mid-2030s, prioritising new infrastructure and capacity upgrades is essential. To strengthen Victoria’s freight system, Port of Melbourne supports establishing the right frameworks to integrate freight into key state policies, such as Plan Victoria. Port of Melbourne also hopes that sustainability and climate resilience remain a focus as the freight sector looks ahead.

We applaud the Victorian Government’s ongoing engagement with industry, and we look forward to further collaboration in shaping a prosperous future for Victoria’s freight sector.
